Scholarships  

Musical Theatre currently sponsors the following scholarships:

High Schools -  A $300 Award is given to a Drama students at each of the following schools: Medicine Hat High School, Crescent Heights High School, McCoy High School, and Eagle Butte High School in Dunmore.

Medicine Hat College – Through our original $20,000 endowment, a $1,000 Award is given to a student enrolled in Drama courses.

Rotary Music Festival – This scholarship (an engraved keeper plaque and a cash award in the amount of $500) is awarded to the individual or group achieving the highest score in a Musical Theatre category. In addition, we sponsor the Henry Allergoth Memorial Trophy and the Noreen Flanagan Memorial Trophy. It has been suggested that we rename these Trophies to simply, the Medicine Hat Musical Theatre Trophy.

The board will reimburse approved applications up to 50% of the eligible expenses. The maximum amount
of any grant is $500.00. Grant requests for post-secondary educational pursuits and private lessons/tutors
are not eligible for funding.

A written summary of the applicant's study experience and photocopies of expense receipts must
accompany this application form. A copy of the program/course/workshop brochure would be appreciated.
